SAMI has FOUR major units in the state of Karnataka. The unit at Peenya in Bangalore is the corporate office and the R&D centre. Production of Fine Chemicals, herbal extracts, spice oleoresins takes place at the Kunigal unit. This export oriented unit is custom bonded and contributes to 54 percent of SAMI's export turnover. SAMI's unit at Mysore is the major spice extraction unit. The biotechnology / fermentation facility is located at Nilamangala, near Peenya.
